February 2016 – “Harz” and “Rodelblitz Express”
Although the narrow gauge railways in the former East Germany are rightly popular with tourists, most of them are regularly used by the local people as well, which probably makes them unique in the world. The planned itinerary for the February tour mirrors that which was operated in 2013, in association with the Warwickshire Railway Society. The price is based upon DB Saver fares, which are available in limited numbers, and will therefore be allocated on a “first come, first served” basis. When the quota of seats at that fare are exhausted, higher prices may apply. There will also be an air option (ex-London or ex-Birmingham, both with Lufthansa) at similar prices – again, best price will be quoted at the time you book.
